FUTURLINER
FUTURLINER
Accurate scale replica of the famous Futurliner from the early 50s.
Originally manufactured in 1939 for the Ney York World's Fair, they were featured in GM's Parade of Progress that was interrupted by WWII, and then resumed in 1953 thru 1956.
Of the original 12 trucks only 9 are known to have survived and #3 became famous as a subject of two episodes of Bitchin Rides in 2014 and underwent a 19 month major restoration with the main goal of being the most authentic, complete, and period-correct restoration of all that have been attempted so far.
As the real thing, the model in 1/32 is huge and we mean HUGE!!! Measuring 312.5mm in lenght, 75mm wide and 109.4mm high it will be a great attraction and centerpiece in any serious collection. But despite its gigantic dimensions, thanks to the advanced MJF 3D printing technology, and a meticolous engineering work, the whole assembly without mechanical parts weighs only 90 grams, making it enjoyable for a drive around your slot car track.
Doors and panels are openable and working.
Only 71 units all individually numbered are availabe and included in the kit are all the mechanical parts, and a static conversion kit with philologically correct dually wheels at front and rear
Upon request the model can be delivered fully assembled and decorated as RTR functional slot car.
