The 166 Inter represents "de facto" the first Grand Tourer production model rolling out of the Maranello factory with 38 units produced from 1948 to 1950. The name Inter was choosen to honor the victories scored with the 166S of Scuderia Inter. The 166 Inter shared its Aurelio Lampredi-designed tube frame, double wishbone/live axle suspension, and 2,420 mm (95.3 in) wheelbase with the 125 S and 166 S. The car was offered as a rolling chassis, pretty much common at the time, and delivered to the coachbuilder of customer's choice.
The model offered in both 1/32 and 1/24 scale (resin body option available for both scales) represents the 166 Berlinetta designed by Carrozzeria Touring of Milano.
